*sigh* where to begin?
spent the weekend at P-groove's Amberland in Lafayette, Georgia.
east tennessee has some really beautiful mountains.
despite the oppressive heat during the day, we had an awesome time. I managed to keep from getting TOO sunburned and kept from breaking/losing TOO much of my stuff.
didn't get to bathe for 3 days b/c the showers were lake water (which looked pretty gross) and i was afraid my new tatt would get infected. but, the shower i took last night was heavenly.
it was really nice to see rich and james and to meet james' girlfriend.
the only major downside to the whole trip was returning to my apartment to find my laptop staring blankly back at me.
it's turned on and I can faintly makeout my desktop image, but the screen is pretty much just blank. i think the monitor burned out.
normally this would be just a minor inconvenience, but my laptop is basically my window to the world. I don't have a TV and I don't have a stereo, so right now I'm cut off from most of my usual entertainment. To my friends with TVs, i may be getting pretty bored until this thing gets fixed, so throw me a bone and invite me to your couch.
but all in all, i had a fantastic holiday weekend. definitely some new things going on in my head lately. for the first time in recent memory, i've got someone who i actually MISS when i'm not with her, someone who i feel like i NEED to talk to regularly. finally realizing that i can't (gasp) do it all on my own...
